Figs from The Fork & Farm

Our new offering of organically and sustainably farmed figs come directly from The Fork & Farm, located opposite Stanford Hills. Unlike supermarket varieties, these figs aren’t just about taste — they’re about a commitment to local farming and sustainable practices. Experience the difference in every bite, and take pleasure in knowing you’re supporting a local farmer who prioritizes the health of their land and community.

Note: The fig season is SHORT! And so enjoy the bounty now while they’re available.

Find the figs in the Harvest Club shop here.

Dragon Fruit from FireFruit

FireFruit, based in Robertson, is one of the most diverse dragon fruit producers in South Africa. They take pride in their diverse selection of varieties and their commitment to sustainable farming practices.

Did you know?

Dragon fruit a.k.a. pitaya or pitahaya originated in Central America and can now be found in almost all areas of the world. It is a subtropical vining cactus, but can adapt to most new environments.

The Flower of the Night” was a name given to the Pitaya as the plant produces large beautiful flowers, flowering only for one night. If the flower is pollinated it will produce the most amazing fruit, Dragon Fruit, FireFruit. Varieties can be pink, red, yellow or green skinned, with many different fleshed varieties.

The taste of the fruits can range from mild to sweet to complex. Dragon fruit can be enjoyed in many different ways and the health benefits is just remarkable.

Organic Apples from Vergesig

As the saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away — but not all apples are created equal. The apples from Vergesig are grown using organic and biodynamic methods in Piketberg, Western Cape.

It’s apple harvest season right now — meaning you won’t find any of those old, floury apples that have been sitting in cold storage for months. Discover more about the Vergesig Farm difference and get your apples here.

NOTE: Maria has a very small crop this year and we might not get apples again next month. Stock up and enjoy now! And plan to poach, freeze or make apple pies with the extras!

Quinces from Saterdagskloof

These chemical-free quinces, grown in the beautiful valley of Sandies Glen just outside Stanford, offer a taste of traditional farming practices.

Perfect for preserving into pretty rosy-pink-coloured jam or cordial, or serving with cheese, these quinces also represent our commitment to supporting local growers who prioritise sustainable farming practices. Find out more about the homestead and grab their quinces here.

Aether Herbalist & Apothecary

Aether Herbalist & Apothecary, based in the beautiful Haga Haga area of the Eastern Cape, creates a wide range of herbal and mushroom products that can assist with various health conditions.

By choosing Aether, you’re not just opting for health-enhancing products — you’re supporting a company that aims to reconnect people with the natural world and promote more sustainable practices.

Infused with hyaluronic acid, squalane, and vitamin E, this mineral-based sunscreen nourishes your skin while shielding it from harmful UV rays.

Designed for everyday use, it has a non-greasy texture and has been formulated to be non-comedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores or cause acne.

Parakore Olive Oil from PG Fruit

Did you know? Olives are seasonal, and so is olive oil. This makes each harvest of the award-winning Parakore Olive Oil from PG Fruit a precious commodity.

In fact, their stock is now very low, at least until their next olive harvest in March/April.

The 500ml and 750ml options are all sold out, but you can now purchase their new 1.5L barrel option, and their 3L barrels offer even better value.

Note that Gerhard has introduced some striking new packaging designs, and you can now use the dropdown in the store here to choose whether you want a lovely Gold & Ivory Steampunk theme, or the fun and racy 1950’s design.

Grown without synthetic chemicals on a chemical-free, biodynamic farm in Villiersdorp, this olive oil represents a true commitment to sustainable farming and high-quality produce.
